I was just watching a segment on NBCLX about Melvin Lindsey, the DC DJ who created the Quiet Storm format for radio. He was closeted and only came out when he was diagnosed with AIDS. Handsome man too. He worked for Donnie Iris, who had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. His friends and colleagues adored him and were very supportive of him after he got sick. His family was there for him too. Glad to know one gay brother didn’t get disowned by his family and friends for being gay.
