Albert Harris Obituary, Death Cause – Monday, November 27, 2023, 65-year-old Albert “Al” Harris, Jr. of Caro died abruptly at home. The late Albert, Sr. and Anna (Kowalski) Harris had Albert on July 27, 1958 in Flint. Albert joined the Caro Center in 1989 after working for Michigan since 1979. The facility’s resident care helper resigned on January 31, 2018, following nearly forty years of service. Albert married Betty Yax in the Caro courthouse on October 3, 1997, and they spent 26 years together. Albert’s life was a symphony of music, baseball, and gardening.
His baseball cards and flowers showed his love of the sport and green thumb. Albert played Bejeweled Blitz and Farmville while not watching baseball or gardening. Family time brought Albert the most delight. He loved his family and will be missed for years to come, whether they drove across the country or sang karaoke. His wife, Betty Harris of Caro, four children, Jackie Harris of Millington, Amy Barrons and her husband, Chris, Ryan Harris, and Jayla Hypes, all of Caro; four siblings and their spouses,
Alberta & Fred Hess of Caro, Rosetta & Jim Abbott of Birch Run, Sharon Case of Tennessee, and Delbert & Pam Harris of Reese; and too many nieces, nephews, and cousins to count will remember Albert. His brothers Ronald, Frank, David, and Donald Harris predeceased Albert, along with his parents. Albert was cremated and a private memorial ceremony is planned in accordance with his desires.
