What do song do you consider to be Black Box's best song?

I Don't Know Anybody Else. There was a thread a while back that had a live clip of the girl whose mic should've been turned off but wasn't.

Love Sensation, or whatever they called it.

They only had a few but they're all on my running mix. Open Your Eyes and I Don't Know Anybody Else are my faves.

I will say they did a OK job covering EW&F song Fantasy.

My fave is also "I Don't Know Anybody Else."

But I love the track they did for Lonnie Gordon, "Gonna Catch You."

Everybody Everybody is such a well-produced song. The perfect example of the Martha Wash dance anthems of the early 90's.

But it's a shame that Martha got replaced in various music videos by skinny hefers and not even acknowledged as the one singing the song and then presenting the skinny bitches as the ones singing the songs.

Here is that horrific live clip R1 was talking about. It's amazingly bad.

And the heifer Katrin was lipsynching to Martha's vocals as recently as 2013. Many years after it was known. She has no shame.

I believe the vocals for Ride on Time were Loleatta Holloway"s - not Martha Wash's.

Ride on Time is little more than a sample of Lolleata's Classic "Love Sensation."

I do believe that all of the other songs on the album, however, used Martha Wash's vocals.

R19 I'd heard about the Martha scam (being brought in to record a temp track that ended up being the uncredited real thing) but I had never heard about Loleatta. That's some creative sampling after the fact...

I always thought the skinny hefer in the videos was trans.

One of the best and most memorable times I had in college was when I had a bunch of people over and blasted "I Don't Know" and everybody got up and danced in unison unlike I've ever seen, as if it were choreographed.

The songs transcended the bait-and-switch, Milli Vanilli-esque professional dancers mouthing an overweight woman's voice.

The result is substandard lingerie models turned singers like Britney Spears and Beyonce being praised for their vocal abilities and winning Grammys, when back in the 80s they would have been nameless members of bands like Expose and Klymaxx.

Baby....they wouldn't have even been THAT.

Expose could throw down even in the most hostile environments...and all the girls could sing live. There's no way Brit or Rihanna could've ever delivered the goods to the level required.

BB had the best selling single of 1989 in the UK with Ride On Time which did nothing in the US.

Their biggest hits in the US were their least successful singles in the UK.
