Clark Easterly Jr. was born on January 21, 1952, in the picturesque town of Gloversville, NY, to the late Clark and Virginia (Briggs) Easterly. From the very beginning, it was evident that Clark’s life would be marked by a deep sense of family, community, and unwavering dedication to making the world a better place.
His educational journey began at Johnstown High School, where he graduated in 1970, and he continued his studies at Babson College, receiving his degree in 1974. With his education in hand, Clark embarked on a fulfilling career, demonstrating his talents as Vice President of the Johnstown Knitting Mill for many years. His commitment to his work was unwavering, and he made valuable contributions to the business community. Later in his career, Clark transitioned to a position with Coldwell Banker/Arlene M. Sitterly, where he continued to excel and serve his community until his well-deserved retirement in 2017. His dedication to his profession was a testament to his work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Clark’s spiritual journey was intertwined with his deep faith and connection to the community. He was a devoted member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and proudly served on its Vestry, contributing to the spiritual growth of the congregation. In addition to his church service, Clark was a longstanding member of the Wells House Nursing Home Board of Directors. His commitment to the well-being of the elderly and his dedication to improving their quality of life was a testament to his compassion and generosity.

He was an active member of the Royal Mountain Ski Club and the Burroughs Nature Study Club, organizations that celebrated the natural beauty of the region. His passion for skiing extended to coaching, and he devoted several years to serving as a ski coach for the Royal Mountain Ski Team. Through coaching, he not only shared his love for the sport but also imparted life lessons to countless young athletes.
