A Dynamax Crystal (Japanese: ダイクリスタル Dai Crystal) is a type of item introduced in Generation VIII.

There are 300 varieties of Dynamax Crystals, each named in the format of a star (★), one of the official three-letter abbreviations of the IAU designated constellations, and a HR (Harvard Revised) number that identifies a star in that constellation in the Bright Star Catalogue.

Trivia

  • Of the 88 modern constellations, 57 of them are used in Dynamax Crystal names:
The remaining 31 constellations are largely in the Southern Hemisphere:
  • The name ★Cen551 appears to be a mistake, since HR 551 is not located in Centaurus, but Andromeda. As stars in Centaurus fall in the range of HR 4318–HR 5587, the intended star may have been HR 5519.
  • ★And337 previously contained data for a Max Raid Battle with a Gigantamax Butterfree, but was changed prior to its distribution.
