I didn't have a favorite. I had one I hated. It was something like "Don't Cover Your Food With Goop." It was an entire song putting down salad dressing and gravy. What the hell? I loved gravy, salad dressing, cheese sauce... I was outraged even at seven years old. Yep, I was typing fat even before I was typing.

While Conjunciton Junction was certainly the best known, I persoanally liked Verb.

I used to like the cartoon from the Cheese Association (?) where the cheese was a wagonwheel. Not Schoolhouse Rock but a similar animation and was also on Saturday mornings during that time period.

Broadway fave Lynn Ahrens wrote several of them.

r21, oh yeah, I think the anti-gravy one was from that series. Either way, I still think about it when I pour myself a cup of cheese sauce.

I loved Essra Mohawk, so my favorites were "Sufferin' until Suffrage" and "Interjections!"

r30 Yes, but they ran concurrently with Schoolhouse Rock so we feel the same nostalgia for both of them. Both the SR and the ABC Bod Squad commercials ran for like 10 years so we're all brainwashed with that shit and associate them with each other!

It sounds like corny Gen X talk, but I honestly feel kids who didn't grow up with Schoolhouse Rock, Sesame Street, and Electric Company were deprived a bit. There was such thoughtfulness and imagination put into kids' programming back then.

Lolly, Interjections and Interplanet Janet are my faves. Oddly enough, they can actually make me cry these days.

They tie into my childhood like few other songs do.

As a kid I was freaked out by the effeminate king in the No More Kings cartoon. Kind of offensive looking at it now.
