I've been shopping around for a new cereal with glittery sprinkles and was wondering if any of you have tried Kellogg's Llama Loops?

No llamas were harmed during the making of this cereal.

by Anonymousreply 1July 20, 2020 1:02 AM

They're fucking awesome. And super hard to find due to their limited edition bullshit. I'm hoping it's a sales ploy and you're at Kellogs. I just bought the last 3 boxes on Amazon for 10 bucks apiece. Make more fucking Llama Loops!

by Anonymousreply 2July 20, 2020 1:05 AM

Based on my own research, I have discovered that Kellogg's Corn Pops and Honey Smacks become soggy within seconds. They have obviously messed with the recipe.

Golden Smacks are also about half the size they used to be and resemble generic-brand Golden Crisp now.

My Llama ❤️ Llama Loops !

by Anonymousreply 7July 20, 2020 1:13 AM

I remember the days when they were called “Sugar Smacks”

by Anonymousreply 8July 20, 2020 1:14 AM

I remember when they were called [italic] Froot Loops.

by Anonymousreply 9July 20, 2020 1:25 AM

They are way better than Froot Loops. My favorite cereal and altho sugar is the first ingredient, no HFCS. They taste like Saturday mornings in the 80s. Now go make those fucking Llama Loops, OP.

by Anonymousreply 11July 20, 2020 1:37 AM

Loaded with sugar but they are adorable! I've never seen this cereal in my local NYC markets.

by Anonymousreply 12July 20, 2020 1:40 AM

I know what you're thinking...

Llama Loops, they should call them Llama Poops because that is what they taste like and don't ask me how I know what Llama Poops taste like.

by Anonymousreply 14July 20, 2020 1:59 AM

Undoubtedly Aldi will have a store-branded version called Vicuña Hoops.

by Anonymousreply 16July 20, 2020 5:16 AM

[quote]Golden Smacks are also about half the size they used to be

Golden Crisp? The Post version of Honey Smacks?

by Anonymousreply 17July 20, 2020 5:25 AM

Kellogg's definitely did their homework coming up with the concept.

Llamas have been the new unicorns for the last couple years in the middle school world.

by Anonymousreply 18July 20, 2020 5:56 AM

Don't llamas spit at people?

by Anonymousreply 19July 20, 2020 5:57 AM

I must have my Dalai Lama Loops, with yak milk.

by Anonymousreply 20July 20, 2020 5:59 AM

🦗 In my village they're called Locust Beans.

by Anonymousreply 21July 20, 2020 8:16 PM

I love Llama Loops! Are they really going away? I haven't seen them at the store the last few times, but wasn't worried because a lot of stuff was out of stock, but they don't seem to be anywhere. This is Jello Pudding Pops all over again, isn't it?

by Anonymousreply 22July 20, 2020 8:28 PM

[quote]This is Jello Pudding Pops all over again, isn't it?

Only without the serial rapist.

by Anonymousreply 23July 20, 2020 8:46 PM

Can you taste the llama? I prefer Lucky Charms because you can taste the leprechaun jizz.

by Anonymousreply 24July 20, 2020 8:47 PM

You guys are hysterical. None of these cereals are palatable and I can feel the sugar coursing through my blood like heroin when my husband buys anything sweeter than Cheerios.

by Anonymousreply 25July 20, 2020 9:01 PM

Cereal recipes have changed over the years through changing manufacturing and distribution channels .

Most cereals today don't live up to your childhood memories of them. Cocoa Puffs, Honey Smacks, Trix, Count Chocula all taste like generic versions.

by Anonymousreply 27July 20, 2020 10:58 PM

I don't eat cereal shit as they are processed food. Stop promoting this dangerous shit to the world.

by Anonymousreply 29July 20, 2020 11:13 PM

R29 and yet here you are trolling Datalounge when you should be out promoting CHANGE

by Anonymousreply 30July 20, 2020 11:19 PM

I didn't know cereal shat.

by Anonymousreply 31July 20, 2020 11:33 PM

R27, that is why Llama Loops are so good.

by Anonymousreply 32July 20, 2020 11:57 PM

Only the high fiber ones, r31.

by Anonymousreply 33July 20, 2020 11:58 PM

My Llama Loops just arrived today. I will ration them out, they already went up 2 bucks in price.

by Anonymousreply 34July 23, 2020 1:49 AM

You should've invested in them ... buy several carloads ... they could be the new Beanie Babies!

by Anonymousreply 35July 23, 2020 2:21 AM

Cheapest one on Amazon is over $11; someone's charging almost $20. Ridiculous.

by Anonymousreply 36July 23, 2020 2:39 AM

I bought a box of Fruit Loops about 10 years ago and they had so much sugar in them that they hurt my teeth. I ate two mouthfuls and had to throw out the box

And I love sugar, but that was horrible

by Anonymousreply 38July 23, 2020 2:43 AM

They're cute, but I don't eat cereal generally. When I happen to, it's granola, or Wheetabix. There's a frozen Kefir place I like which has Fruity Pebbles as a topping, and I admit as a garnish, it's a delicious foil for the tangy-sour vanilla.

by Anonymousreply 39July 23, 2020 3:16 AM

R37. It's out of stock. There are no more Llama Loops.

by Anonymousreply 40July 23, 2020 2:32 PM

Isn't eating this cereal (and other Kelloggs' crap) the same as just pouring sugar down your throat?

by Anonymousreply 41July 23, 2020 6:00 PM

Yes, R41.

Who the hell eats this awful shit?

I can't imagine a parent feeding this garbage to their kids. It would be tantamount to child abuse.

by Anonymousreply 42July 23, 2020 6:10 PM

r40 Not out of stock for me. I was able to add it to my cart.

by Anonymousreply 43July 23, 2020 9:07 PM

Placed my order; arriving Saturday. Of course something could go wrong between now and then, but I was definitely able to complete the transaction.

by Anonymousreply 44July 23, 2020 11:00 PM

My Llama Loops are arriving today! So exciting! It's almost like Christmas morning!

by Anonymousreply 45July 25, 2020 6:01 PM

Please do give us your review of them, R45.

by Anonymousreply 46July 25, 2020 6:26 PM

Are they just really Fruit Loops?

by Anonymousreply 47July 25, 2020 9:35 PM
