Phyllis Ivey Obituary, Death – The community of Ringgold, Georgia, is mourning the loss of a beloved member, Phyllis Ann Ivey (nee Brandon), who passed away on December 19, 2023, at the age of 76. Born on December 28, 1946, in Dalton, Georgia, Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love and selfless service.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Russell Ivey, and daughter, Rebecca Storr, along with their respective families. She was a cherished grandmother to Brandon, Christine, Molly, and Preston. Phyllis’s love extended to her siblings: Brenda Hampton, Teresa Allmon, Dennis Guinn, Rene Haney, and Greg Guinn, all of whom, along with many nieces and nephews, will hold her memory dear.

A graduate of Rossville High School, Phyllis went on to have a fulfilling career as a Sign Language Interpreter for Catoosa County Schools, dedicating over 20 years to enriching the lives of students through her work. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Raymond Ivey, Jr., her father Bill Brandon, and her mother Dora Clayton Guinn.

Her memory will forever be a source of inspiration and comfort to those who knew and loved her. A visitation to celebrate Phyllis’s life will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a service at 12:30 PM. The burial will take place at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
