That cold open was meh. A few moments of laughter here and there, but it is hard to believe they had all week and that was the best they could come up with.

Ana is so beautiful, but that dress looks like car upholstery.

Her monologue was sweet. She’s cute.

Her film with Keanu was awful, then again, everyone was awful in that film. The entire premise was absurd.

I think Keenan will become the next Wink Martindale of TV game shows after his time with “SNL.” The show has certainly obsessed with focusing his work in that arena.

I hope they don't waste her talent like they do with most hosts. She can be wonderful.

I love how the stage directors command the skit sets and castmembers with all the earnest seriousness of liberating WWII Paris from the enemy forces.

Marcello is so sexy. He is the only one of the new cast I would like to continue after this season.

I like Marcello, too. He’s got a nice voice and should be built up as time goes on. I miss there not seeming to be so many signature characters in skits as there seemed to be in past seasons. Marcello’s especially fun when they let him lose with the high-energy and rapid-fire lines delivery.

Every skit nowadays seems more about how castmembers sound and speak, and attempt to say dialogue ironically, rather than being talented actors given great blocked scenes and skit ideas to really channel great comic delivery through. They should actually play their comedy straighter, and I think it would come off as funnier.

The last "Lisa from Temecula" was so bad it was accidentally good, mostly from Bowen laughing. This time it was just awkward and bad. I like Ego but she's just not a comedian.

Chloe with a mouthful of spaghetti having oral with a doy was ...not my taste...

Ashley Simpson got so much flak for it when that scandal occurred but the last decade or so it seems most of their guests lip sync

High school-level humor. Maybe even junior high.

With so many male cast members why do they insist on using Bowen in these straight married male scenes? I don't hate the guy but he can't play a convincing straight to save his life.

Bowen and Colin are the only stars left on the show. The rest of the cast is bland and forgettable.

R64, I could be wrong but with Bowen, I think that’s part of the joke — the uber-gay guy as straight bf/husband.

R66, it just takes me out of the skit. There's enough wink, wink bullshit on this show already. They remind me of outtake reels where they all break character except here, it's their crutch and its their norm. They just laugh at all of their jokes and it's getting old.

Th first Lisa from Temecula skit was hilarious, I was shocked that they aired it as the last sketch. Tonight’s was painfully unfunny, I only giggled once, when she said, Why, because were gay? Ana broke character a bit but it wasn’t as contagiously funny as when Bowen did it in the first sketch.

Someone tell Molly Kearney she's not "nonbinary," she's just a bog-standard lesbian comic from the midsized outposts of the East Coast Chuckle Huts.

Ana was a great host. Very charming and charismatic.

The only good part of the singing was Mocha and Twiggy. You're welcome.

Ana had a lot of energy and was completely committed to the garbage material she had to work with.

Lisa is potentially a good recurring character. They need to skip the table tossing though. "Dance Bitch" was a good comeback. She should have told the bride that the groom was her sloppy seconds and gone from there. That would have been better than the salad tossing.

The dogs were the only funny actors.

Yeah I think if they’re going to make Lisa from Temecula a thing they need to stick to her snappy comebacks and not the table business.

That said, I am totally crushing on Marcello as well. He really is a cutie.

I was in college when the new NBC show "Saturday Night Live" debuted.

It's been hit or miss over the decades -- sure -- but after watching a show from start to finish last night (a first for me in years), I have to say, why is it still on the air?

What I saw last night was embarrassingly bad, from cold opening to the no-talent musical guest to final sayonara.

Last night was the worst episode of the season. Ana deserved so much better. Really, Lorne? Going for cheap laughs with terrified dogs? Really, Keenan? Monkey-man jokes? This cast was never ready for prime time. Why is Dislikes being used so little? Is he not well? Colin needs to be replaced as head writer. You can tell he's approving this shit.

Ana was delightfully game and joyous, but most of the writing..eh. I always laugh at Sarah Sherman’s bits going after Colin. Marcelo is adorable. They need to keep him. And there was a lot of Mikey’s body on display, so that’s cool. I want to like Punkie, but I’m not sure I’ve ever laughed at anything she’s done. Lisa from Temecula did provide a couple of chuckles, but next time have her in a different situation. And no more fucking game shows!

How about a moratorium on rappers next season? They're so obviously lip-syncing and they all sound like each other. Unintelligible.

More often than not anymore, I don’t know the host, the musical act or both. This was never the case years ago. I suppose I’m too old and not their demographic anymore.

Last night’s show was bad.

Last night's show was horrible from start to finish. The cold opening was a wasted opportunity - I thought for sure they were going to have Dismukes play 'Jack Texieria' and James Austin Johnson play 'Trump' - both talking about stealing classified info. That would have been priceless.

The 'Lisa' sketch was awful (the first was ok). Marcello is a sexy stud and the only reason I watched that sketch. Everything else - from the game show to the nail salon and the musical guest - was embarrassing.

I'm glad I record it on a Saturday night, and then watch it Sunday morning with my coffee- I can FF when I know a skit is going wrong, which was most of the show last night.

Seems to happen every time that hammy little queen is on camera, failing to make people laugh.

R41 is very concerned with the tiny number of teens transitioning and not with the huge number of kids being shot.

I give the show a C. Only one sketch for my Andrew Dismukes, but he looked cute in the good nights, so what could have been a C- got moved to a C. I was worried that the follow up to Lisa from Temecula wouldn't land and I was right. Maybe next time.

I wonder if Lisa from Temecula will be back. Ego’s Dionne talk show only got 2 or 3 slots, despite sort of going viral. On the other hand, I’m glad when they don’t run recurring characters into the ground (i.e. every one of Wiig’s characters).

I am beginning to wonder if Kenan Thompson had the right idea when he said recently that SNL should cease to exist after the 50th season.
