William Dennis Obituary, Death – On December 22, 2023, the Camlachie community mourns the loss of a beloved member, William “Bill” Henry Arthur Dennis, who passed away at the age of 88. Born on May 20, 1935, Bill will be forever remembered as a caring individual, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean Dennis. His nurturing spirit lives on through his children: Wendy (late Bob) Hollingsworth, Mark Dennis, and Mike Dennis (Joanne). He was a proud grandfather to Lyndsey (Shane), Stephanie (Bernie), and Megan (Marcel) and a cherished great-grandfather to Colin, Charlie, and Alyssa.
Born to the late William and Maud Dennis, Bill is predeceased by his siblings Edward “Ted,” Doris, and Robert “Bob.” He will be fondly remembered by his special niece Karen (Rob), and his memory will be cherished by in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. A special mention goes to his loyal feline companion, Toby, who brought him comfort and companionship.
Friends and family will gather at DENNING’S OF STRATHOY on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 6-8 PM, followed by visitation on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 12:00 pm until the funeral service at 1:00 pm. After the service, cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Community Living, Sarnia, or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
