Has anyone else noticed Desmond Ridder’s ever-changing color and facial features in this DoorDash commercial? It’s like he is constantly switching back and forth between African American and Caucasian during this 30 second ad.

Do you think it’s done intentionally ?

That's called light and shadows.
The two alternate and appear to change colors of the surfaces they land on...like magic!
Wait until you learn about evaporation. I won't spoil it for you, but it's basically like an invisible man slowly drinking up water while you sit there!

No, not at all.
TBH, white people spend hardly any time thinking about skin tone. They're not constantly wondering if people are trying to pass or not.
That's one of the biggest differences between white gay men and black gay men.

Is the point of the commercial that, as a DoorDash delivery guy, he can have a vibrant life???
Sure

R2 - Except it pretty blatant how the skin tones and racial features switch from shot to shot: White finger, Black finger; White hand, Black hand; Caucasian features (in the car), African features (in the gym).
Are they trying to play to two separate audiences with a single person?
